One thing we truly believe in is member care. We are not like the big mega gyms with tens of thousands of members that come and go with no personalization. We pride ourselves in being extremely personable and comforting to our members. We get to know our members and really care about their fitness and nutrition goals.     I have always liked to work out and run but my love for fitness truly started when I decided to take control of my own life and make a change! I started the SHRED program here at free state fitness and lost 27lbs, 27 inches total and 10% body fat. I loved the program so much that I became a SHRED instructor in March 2015 and taught through February 2016. I became a NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) Certified personal trainer in October 2015 and that is my main focus now! My love for fitness shines through when I am training.

    My passion for fitness began with my own weight loss journey back in college. I played college athletics and was in and out of the weight room. My freshman year, I dropped 50 pounds and fell in love with the process. This is why I love to be a part of others’ fitness journeys. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Fitness Management, minor in Exercise Science, then went on to get my Personal Training and Nutrition Specialist Certifications from NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). I’m very motivated and ready to help you reach your goals!

    Physical activity has always been extremely important to me. I have been an athlete all my life, but it was during Collegiate athletics that I began to be passionate about training. I do mostly sports performance training, however I will take a few individual clients here and there. I received by Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science and Pre-Physical Therapy. Therefore, the way I approach training is very unique, I look at your success from a more holistic point of view. I try to incorporate all aspects of life and fitness when making a program. I want you to be the best and most healthy person you can, both physically and mentally. You have to make wellness a lifestyle or else it will not last!

    About 7 years ago I fell in love with Zumba in the comfort of my own home, due to my weight and low self-esteem, I was afraid that I would embarrass myself if I tried a public class. That all changed after I took control of my mind set, my eating and my way of life. Now health and fitness is just a lifestyle that I enjoy sharing with others. Zumba has made a huge impact in my life and the way I look at working out, it’s just flat out FUN!
    I am here to push you to the next level, with support to reach goals that are desired. I enjoy being a Hip Hop Fitness Zumba instructor, we work on cardio, toning and weight loss. Zumba is a workout that is great for clearing the mind, working on the body and cleaning the soul. I want to help you start enjoying your workouts and make exercising and healthy eating part of your lifestyle.
